FAA Power Systems
NATECH’s FAA National Airspace Power Modernization, Routine Facilities Operation, Emergency Response and Restoration contract (contract No. DTFAAC-09-D-00102) provides FAA procurement officers with a vehicle to quickly respond to the needs of the agency and its infrastructure.
Services NATECH can provide under this contract vehicle include Site Selection and Engineering, System and Equipment Installation and Testing:
Site Selection and Engineering
- Analysis and Recommendations to assist the FAA in the determination of optimum specific facility locations and the selection of geographical sites required for NAS implementation
- Development of standard designs, the adaptation of standard designs, site-specific designs, engineering designs and Contractor Site Engineering Reports
- Designs include:
- System installation, repair, modification, and/or modernization (including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and fire protection systems and architectural finishes)
- Tower erection
- Cable system installation (including cable trays and raceways) related to antenna, control, fiber optic, power, and signal functions
- Facility security and security systems
- Utility and power distribution systems
- Work related to facility decommissioning, including site restoration or demolition
- Removal and preparation for disposition of systems and equipment
- Supporting development of specific configuration control case files
- System installation, repair, modification, and/or modernization (including electrical, mechanical, HVAC and fire protection systems and architectural finishes)
- Tower Erection

Equipment Installation and Test
- Site Surveys
- Development of equipment installation designs and schedules
- Purchase/assembly/rehabilitation of equipment and material in support of installation work
- Relocation/modification of operational systems and equipment
- Placement of equipment
- Electronic cable system installations related to antenna, control, fiber optics, power and signal functions, adjustment of equipment to initial or operating parameters
- Testing and/or documentation of equipment parameters
- Trouble shooting and performance resolution
- Flight inspection/certification preparation
- Removal of obsolete equipment
- Diagnostics
- Drawing revision
